Square Enix and Platinum Games are teaming up again for another action title. Called Babylon’s Fall , we were given a very Nier -esque trailer that didn’t reveal much about plot details. It does look exciting, though. You can check out our full coverage he
Just as with Sucker Punch’s other series, Infamous , Ghost of Tsushima will be entirely open world. To begin with the most obvious additions to this, the game will be in third person, meaning you can see Jin writes in the official Tsushimalegend blog all his glory. As said before, the game lets you play it how you want. Do you want to be stealthy or maybe instead just run in there and start sword fight
It’s one of the most visually impressive titles on the PlayStation 4 and looks even better on the console’s successor. Looks aren’t the only thing the game has going for it, though, with a fantastic story, some well-thought-out side quests, and an intuitive combat system all adding to the experience. There’s plenty of challenge to be found here, although the game’s difficulty settings make it just as suitable for those looking to kick back and partake in an engaging and often moving advent
Spellbreak is a new battle royale title developed by Proletariat, a company made up of video game industry veterans. It looks to mix spellcraft with basic first-person combat. A closed beta will be happening next year on PS4. You can check out TheGamer’s full coverage for more informat
The combat system found in Devil May Cry 5 is nowhere near as demanding as the one found in Sekiro, but it’s arguably a lot more enjoyable. The free-flowing combos can make you feel like an absolute boss and the desire to see that combo count rise higher and higher should provide all the motivation needed to learn the game’s mechanics rather than just mashing buttons until all of the enemies are d
Perhaps Sony wasn’t thinking with its wallet in mind, but the release did set a precedent for the future. Games released towards the end of a console’s lifecycle now had the potential to show up in enhanced form on that console’s successor. Rockstar Games even seemed to take this lesson to heart by releasing Grand Theft Auto V roughly a year after its last-generation debut for both PS4 and Xbox
Paper Beast is a new VR sandbox game coming to the PS4 in Q1 2020. Developed by Pixelreef, it seems that players will be taking care of origami creatures and causing general mayhem as they mold the environment to their lik
The story is surprisingly detailed for the era and uses cutscenes to great effect. Where the game really shines, however, is through its solid combat mechanics and its use of stealth mechanics which provide players with multiple ways of approaching each mission. There are plenty of unlockables, too, making it a highly replayable game for those who can look past its dated visuWe got to sit down with Sucker Punch Productions to see Ghost of Tsushima up close. Though it was the same demo shown at the conference, we did learn important new details. The game takes place in 1274 during the Mongols’ invasions of the island of Tsushima. You play as Jin Sekai, the last living samurai on the island. Having lost everything to the Mongols, Jin now fights for the common people as he tries to stave off the invasion.
Fast forward about six months after the PS4 released and Sony announced during E3 2014 that The Last of Us Remastered would be hitting the console in one month. It was a move many anticipated before the PS4’s launch, but one that also left a sour taste in some’s mouths. Sony was now giving us the “better” version of the game instead of holding back the initial release to coincide with its next-gen launch. Was the game simply not ready for the PS4 in November, or did Sony know it could get away with charging tw
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice by From Software is a game about overcoming challenges. In this action-adventure game, you must accomplish your goals and the goals of your master as you face more and more difficult foes. But it is exactly this challenge and the subsequent feeling of accomplishment that players revel
Interestingly, though, Sony launched The Last of Us on PS3 earlier that same year. While the specifics of the PS4’s launch date were unknown at the time, many were preparing to say goodbye to their previous console and welcome a new one into their homes. Then came The Last of Us to the tune of rave reviews and incredible sales. Clearly people couldn’t wait for the PS4 and had to game right
Capcom went ahead and confirmed the existence of Resident Evil 3’s remake. In a nice fakeout, the “State of Play” announcer revealed it as “the campaign portion of Resident Evil Resistance, ” which confirms that the game will have a full multiplayer mode. It will be heading to PS4 (and presumably Xbox One and PC) on April 3, 2020. For more information, click he
Another ” State of Play ” stream is in the books and the results are a little mixed. While Sony is getting a little better at sneaking in some unexpected news, the streams still lack the personality and shock value of a Nintendo Direct. I will admit that the fakeout with Resident Evil Resistance did get me, though that’s mostly because I woke up well before I normally
